ABSTRACT
This work deal with the history and contributions of the Father of Cuban Orthopedics, Dr. Julio Martínez Páez to highlight the main characteristics, professional, ethical and patriotic values as in his revolutionary action in the July 26 Movement, the Sierra Maestra and his work as Prime Minister of Health and Welfare in the triumph of Revolution.The objective is to characterize the life and work of Dr. Julio Martínez Páez considering the historical scenario that he develops, the scope of his contributions to medicine and the Cuban revolutionary process in general as well as his example in current and future generations of doctors. It was established a revolutionary approach to the revolutionary doctor and pay a modest tribute to his memory, presenting his example in our Cuban doctors as an indisputable paradigm for our generations of doctors, and to reflect the devotion of a medical profession lover. Our new doctors can find great role models of virtue, love, selflessness and patriotism in illustrious doctor.REFERENCES
