ABSTRACT
Foreign body aspiration represents an emergency event that
usually requires immediate medical intervention. In some cases
this event may be misdiagnosed with few, or absence of, clinical
symptoms, but it can result in serious consequences. The
continuous technical improvements in minimally invasive
procedures such as bronchoscopy have permitted success in
foreign body removal. We present a case of aspiration of unusual
foreign body (river stones) lodged in the left bronchial tree, in a
patient with epilepsy, and that were removed by rigid bronchoscopy.
