ABSTRACT
Brugada syndrome or sudden unexpected death is the most common cause of natural
death in young men in Southeast Asia, but it is a rare phenomenon in Cuba and has
never been reported in the Isle of Youth. A review for the most current articles about:
its history, definition, epidemiology, clinical manifestations electrocardiographic
diagnosis and treatment is done. We present the first two cases diagnosed in the
territory. In both cases predictive signs of arrhythmias are described.
