ABSTRACT
The soft tissues infection is a frequent diagnosis and its symptoms are a common presenting complaint in the Emergency Department. For the diagnosis it is necessary a thorough clinical examination and complementary exams to rule out abscess. Emergency ultrasound helps as a rapid diagnostic tool to rule out underlying abscesses and therefore clinical decision. We present two different clinical cases in which this bedside each helped us confirm the clinical suspicion and reduce hospital stay time.
