ABSTRACT
A patient, male, 49 years old, with sectorial retinitis pigmentosa diagnosed in 1994, with
antecedents of referring decrease of the night vision from the adolescence. After 17 years
being diagnosed, he was studied again. It is confirmed that the patient´s visual function keeps
stable and it was not found a significant changes neither in fundoscopy and visual field studies,
nor in the electroretinogram. As a conclusion we are dealing with a sectorial retinitis
pigmentosa in its stationary form with possible autosomal recessive inherited pattern.
