ABSTRACT
Stress cardiomyopathy, formerly also known as takotsubo cardiomyopathy,
is characterized by transitory dysfunction of the left ventricle
in the absence of significant obstructive coronary disease. We present
the case of a patient with stress cardiomyopathy where, in the angiotomography,
in addition to alterations of mobility of the left ventricle, we
found hypoattenuation in the myocardial wall compatible with edema,
alterations in perfusion, or both, which have been described only in
magnetic resonance and nuclear medicine studies.
