ABSTRACT
Kawasaki disease (KD) represents one of the most frequent vasculitis during the childhood which importance takes root because it affects the coronary arteries, turning this way into the first reason of acquired cardiopathy in children. The aim of this review article is to provide a tool updated for the best understanding of the disease and to provide the recent advances in the understanding of its physiopathology, as well as the long-term follow-up and treatment.
