ABSTRACT
Breast cancer is a serious threat to the health of Mexican women and
unrecognized priority in developing countries like ours. Is the first
leading cause of death among women and it affects all socioeconomic
strata. A sedentary lifestyle combined with obesity promotes a series of
metabolic complications associated with high propensity to develop BC.
Some risk factors are closely associated in the pathogenesis of breast
cancer through hormonal mechanisms. However, several epidemiological
studies have also clearly shown an inverse correlation between the
risk of breast cancer and levels of physical activity. Thus, implementing
changes in lifestyle in our population will have a great impact on the
future incidence of this disease.
