ABSTRACT
Objective: To evaluate the impact of laparoscopic simulator training
on the necessary time to perform laparoscopic knots.
Material and methods: This was a prospective observational study to
assess comparative effectiveness via descriptive analyses. The data were
registered in a period of 24 months and were analyzed with normality
test, correlation test, Paired Samples Test (T-test) and linear regression
analysis to create a model.
Results: We found that after the training, the time required to complete
the task was 46% less than the initial time.
Discussion and conclusion: Training and practice with a physical simulator
improves abilities and laparoscopic skills, without expend to many
time in a real patient, while improve the performance.
