Multimed Magazine; an alternative horizon for men of sciences

ABSTRACT
Introduction: The scientific production has brought about the strengthening of the bibliometric studies, with the purpose to serve as a base for the elaboration of scientific politics, studies of the science and the progress quantification in order to obtain the proposed goals. Objective: To describe the behavior of the scientific articles in the Multimed Magazine. Method: It was performed a bibliometric study during the period 2008-2012, for which there were, used the following indicators: articles published, typology of the articles and number of authors per articles. The results obtained in the investigation were valued, quantitative and qualitatively, and they were illustrated by means of charts and graphics, using the percent calculation. Results: It was observed a gradual increase in the quantity of articles published, from 58 articles in 2008 to 71 in 2012. In the distribution, according to the types of articles, it was observed that the original ones prevailed (167). The general tendency was ratified in regards to the authorship in scientific magazines, the increase of articles written by several authors and it was evidenced that 242 articles were written by two or more authors, what represented the 88, 3 % of the total of articles published. Conclusions: The Multimed Magazine is a fundamental tool for the development of the medicine in Granma province; a horizon of alternatives to disseminate the most remarkable experiences of the scientific field, centers of investigations and health institutions for what it was evidenced the progressive evolution of the scientific articles published in Multimed Magazine.REFERENCES
