ABSTRACT
Considering that the most frequent location of tumors of vertebral column is the body. Treatment of primary tumors and metastatic spine has changed considerably in recent years. Currently, surgical treatment options have been standardized, many approaches have been evaluated taking into account the improvement and satisfactory result. The traditional approach is to perform an anterior vertebral corpectomy, requiring a second surgical procedure for posterior stabilization. Another treatment option is performing only the posterior stabilization with decompression; however this has reported a few clinical improvements compared with a combined approach. In literature it has been reported that an alternative approach to perform a corpectomy that is a posterior transpedicular, given that this is a technique with high risk by anatomic structures and it is only used in special cases.REFERENCES
