ABSTRACT
Laryngospasm is a potentially
serious complication of
intubation. Pulmonary
edema may develop after
laryngospasm and can affect
any patient who has been
intubated. It and can lead to
a new intubation, mechanical
ventilation, admission to
an intensive care unit, and
prolonged hospitalization for
the patient. Important is the
early detection, diagnosis, and
treatment of the syndrome.
