ABSTRACT
Osteomyelitis is a common
pediatric musculoskeletal
infection most commonly caused
by Staphylococcus aureus. This
infection can weaken the normal
bone structure, resulting in the
risk of a pathologic fracture.
The hematogenous spreading
leads to a multi-focal type of
infection that carries untoward
complications. With early
diagnose and treatment, the
illness can be treated and the
functional results will be very
satisfactory.
