ABSTRACT
Epilepsy is a chronic brain
disease that affects people of all
countries and is characterized by
recurrent seizures. The seizures
are brief episodes of muscle
contractions that can affect
a body part (partial seizures)
or full (generalized seizures)
and is sometimes accompanied
by loss of consciousness and
control of his bowels. If
the seizure occurs in the third
trimester should be suspected
and managed as a eclampsia
until they prove otherwise. If
the seizure occurs in the first
half of pregnancy and is known
epileptic patient should be
studied by secondary causes
acquired.
