ABSTRACT
Chondromalacia patellae (CP)
is a condition that affects the
articular cartilage of the patella.
It encompasses a spectrum
of clinical severity, ranging
from mild fissuring of the
articular cartilage to complete
cartilage loss and erosion of
the underlying subchondral
bone. CP is part of medical
conditions contained within the
patellofemoral pain syndrome.
