ABSTRACT
Male patient of 12 years is
described, known healthy, that
consulted by marked decreased
vision in the left eye. The
Neuroretinitis is a clinical entity
consisting of a visual loss of
moderate to severe papilledema,
macular exudates in a star
pattern, and floating vitreous
inflammation. Although its
etiology is often idiopathic post
viral or 60% of cases, acute
infection as in Tuberculosis
is caused occasionally. This
case is extremely rare, due
not only to be a Neuroretinitis
but to be present in a young
man documenting tuberculosis
without pulmonary
involvement.
