ABSTRACT
Paget’s disease of the vulva
is a group of malignant
neoplasm of epithelial tumors
representing less than 1% of all
vulvar malignancies. It is more
common in Caucasian women,
with the highest incidence in
the seventh decade of life. The
lesion is characterized by white
plaques with erythematous
edges, eczematous appearance
and the main symptom
is itching. Confirmatory
diagnosis by biopsy with
immunohistochemical studies.
There are different types of
treatment being the main of
them surgery. The prognosis
is favorable if the patient has
been ruled invasive neoplastic
disease and is closely monitoring
to detect any persistent or
recurrent lesion.
