ABSTRACT
The mobility of the vertebral column is a key sign in the ankylosing spondylitis, the same result essential to identify the inflammatory signs that present in the development of these illnesses, existing a series of indexes of measures used internationally to corroborate indirectly the diagnostic criteria of the ankylosing spondylitis and as it comports the same in the natural evolution of the illnessand when it is modified with medical treatments or physiotherapy; we present a study of the indexes that use regularly in the queries of rheumatology and physiotherapy in the Rheumatology Centre for the diagnostic and follow-up of the patients that develop this entity, as well as the criteria that reflect in the clinical histories for the epidemiological control and inquiry of this population of patients with scientific and investigation ends.
