ABSTRACT
Introduction. Cutaneous vasculitis are an inflammatory process affecting the vessel walls leading to their damage and subsequent hemorrhagic cutaneous manifestations, it may be a primary disorder or as a predominant sign of other vasculitis, drugs, infections, systemic diseases or malignancy.Objective. To describe three cases of leukocytoclastic vasculitis with extensive clinical manifestations suggestive of arterial disease.
Case report. We report 3 cases of patients with extensive cutaneous manifestations suggestive of probable macrovascular pathology and with atypical presentation and evolution which biopsy confirmed the presence of cutaneous leukocytoclastic angiitis.
Conclusions. Cutaneous vasculitis are clinicopathologic entities with typical topographical manifestations in the lower extremities where there is no well-established management for patients with extensive necrotic lesions, the differential diagnosis is made with arterial vascular diseases which require the skills of the vascular surgeon to do it.
