ABSTRACT
In order to value the quantitative risks of the ischemic cardiopathy there have been created risk tables, like the ones approved by the World Health Organization. With the objective to evaluate the cardiovascular global risk
in the population of the health area #33 of Cauto Cristo it was performed a quantitative, explanatory, experimental, clinical assay to be evaluated in the University Polyclinic “Joel Benitez”, since December 1rst 2010 to November 30, 2011. The universe was made by 937 patients with a prevalence of the female sex (53.68%). The average age was about 56.6 years old. The 5.02% suffered from diabetes mellitus. 79.9% practices smoking. 63.04% of patients suffer from hypercholesterolemia. The 55% is carrier of obesity/overweight and the 56.9% carries an elevated amount
of systolic blood pressure. The cardiovascular global risk according to Gaziano was statistically outstanding and similar to the calculus by the approved charts of the World Health Organization. It was recommended then to use Gaziano charts for the systemic calculation of the cardiovascular global risk for every kind of population.
