ABSTRACT
Septic arthritis infection with resulting inflammation within a joint is an emergency. Not only can it rapidly destroy a joint or irreversibly impair joint function, it may be fatal. In people of all ages, septic arthritis is usually caused by staphylococci (particularly Staphylococcus aureus). wich elaborate several extracellular and cell-mediated factors that may be important virulence determinants in septic arthritis. The pathogenesis of acute septic arthritis is multifactorial and depends on the interaction of the host immune response and the adherence factors, toxins, and immunoavoidance strategies of the invading pathogen. By taking into account the steps of bacterial colonization, infection and induction of the host inflammatory response. This review will help us to gain a greater understanding of this joint disease.
