ABSTRACT
Due to the emergency in the Caribbean caused by Chikungunya fever, and keeping in mind that it has no history in Cuba, besides the entomological situation that presents Santiago de Cuba province, where vectors transmitting diseases exist, such as
Aedes aegypti and
Aedes albopictus mosquitoes, an exhaustive literature review was carried out, to contribute to the updating on the topic of the whole medical community from the province.
