Gastroschisis. A case report

ABSTRACT
Gastroschisis and omphalocele are congenital abnormalities of the abdominal wall that in spite of their big differences, have in common the fact of being serious illnesses characterized by herniation of the abdominal viscera through an abdominal wall defects. Children with this disease are presented as surgical emergency that suggest a difficult challenge for the surgeon. The
mortality rate vary between 20- 40% even with the appropriate treatment and It associates to a spacious rank of malformations, mainly in the boys with omphalocele. A newborn case is presented with postnatal gastroschisis diagnosis.
