ABSTRACT
Syringocystadenoma papilliferum is a benign adnexal tumor that commonly occurs on the scalp or face. It often occurs with nevus sebaceous (40%) and 9% of these have basal cell carcinoma at the same site as the nevus sebaceous and syringocystadenoma papilliferum. The coexistence of syringocystadenoma papilliferum with other lesions has been reported. It has not been reported in association with proliferating trichilemmal cyst. Proliferating trichilemmal cyst is a rare tumor that usually occurs in the scalp of elderly women. Some authors have proposed that proliferant trichilemmal cyst is squamous cell carcinoma. In this article we present the case of a 50 years old male who presented one tumor that histologically corresponded to both entities.
