Characterization of the risk factors in patients with Cerebrovascular Disease

ABSTRACT

It was carried out a retrospective longitudinal descriptive study with the objective of describing the risk factors in patients with Cerebrovascular disease (CVD) in the medical offices 5 and 16 belonging to ¨René Vallejo Ortiz¨ Polyclinic since January, 2010 to January, 2011 in Manzanillo, Granma. The universe was represented by 26 patients with CVD diagnosis, what constituted the study object. The information was gathered through surveys to the patients and the revision of the familiar and personal health antecedents. The female sex prevailed, being the group of 60-69 years old the most significant one, the HTA was the disease with greater incidence in the appearance of the CVD. The risk factors related to the most frequent lifestyle were the smoking habit and obesity.
