ABSTRACT
For several years, information technologies have been introduced in the editorial production processes causing changes in styles and workflows. The processing of scientific journals has been particularly benefited from these technological advances. The agility in handling manuscripts, transparency and traceability of the process and the information virtual storage with high capacity are some of the advantages that can boast these automated systems. This paper provides elements that highlight the opportunity of the introduction of electronic tools for editorial work of scientific journals in all its phases, and underlines the unavoidable need to use it as a condition for efficient management.REFERENCES
