ABSTRACT
A congenital smooth muscle hamartoma is a rare benign proliferation of smooth muscle bundles in dermis, that is usually diagnosed in the neonatal period or infancy. Clinically the lesions maybe associated with hipertricosis and hiperpigmentation resembling a Becker’s nevi, that’s why is in the differential diagnosis. We present the case of one congenital smooth muscle hamartoma in the face, the clinical characteristics, the differential diagnosis, and a brief summary of the literature.
