ABSTRACT
Leiomyomatosis peritonealis disseminata constitutes a rare pathology of an
unkown etilogy. It is chararacterized by the appearence of multiple pelvic and
abdominal nodules, which are basically composed of smooth muscle. The
first case was published in 1952 by Wilson and Peale although was Tubert, in
1965, the first who identified this disease as a pathology. Currently, around
100 cases can be found in literature. We present, as far as we know, the
first case resolved by laparoscopic technique plus gonadotropin-releasing
hormone agonist therapy.
