ABSTRACT

The findings of publications related to the respiratory rehabilitation come from original articles and systematic reviews, which operationally address the issue as part of the treatment of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Therefore, protocols or practice guidelines in respiratory rehabilitation in patients with COPD have not been identified so far. This article attempted to organize the available evidence-based information in a protocol format, with recommendations adapted to the national heath services. A multidisciplinary working group was organized by specialized profiles homogenizing the format of information based on user interest. There was no conflict of interest among participants or with other working groups related to the topic.
