ABSTRACT
White piedra is a superficial mycosis, asymptomatic illness, unusual or maybe under-diagnosed, whose etiologic agent is Trichosporon beigelii. We expose the case of an 8 year old school girl with diagnosis of white piedra and a brief review of the literature has been made.
