ABSTRACT
Carcinoid tumors are neuroendocrine malignancies. The malignant carcinoid syndrome usually results from metastases to the liver. Carcinoid heart disease is characterized by fibrous endocardial thickening that involves the right side of the heart. These changes frequently lead to retraction of the leaflets of the tricuspid and pulmonary valves. We report a case without valvular involvement but with high output heart failure.
