ABSTRACT
The presence of late aortic pseudoaneurysms is a rare complication
associated to laparoscopic cholecystectomy, however potential high
morbidity and mortality is common if present. Main symptoms are pain,
ecchymosis and edema. The presence of a pulsatile mass is a distinctive
feature as well as murmur or thrill, although the two latter are inconstant.
We further present the case of a woman who underwent elective
laparoscopic cholecystectomy, an aortic pseudoaneurysm below the
renal artery was diagnosed and successfully treated with surgery.
