ABSTRACT
A bibliographical revision about the rosacea was made, as it is a quite frequent chronic skin
disease, but easily misdiagnosed. It is presented a case of late diagnosis of rosacea that had
treatment with clobetasol cream, which favored its worsening. Several precipitating factors of this
illness are described, being the topical use of corticoids one of them. It is follow the objective of
demonstrating how harmful the use of potent corticoids on the face is, and the importance of
getting a definite diagnosis before using them.
