ABSTRACT
An analytical observacional study was conducted, 1:2 matched by age and sex, with the purpose of relating the possible association of a risk factors group with the incidence of tuberculosis in Ciego de Avila from January to December of 2009. The universe was constituted by all the cases of tuberculosis diagnosed in that year. The new cases of tuberculosis were gather, by Compulsory Disease Notification model in the Statistics Provincial Department of Health Care Provincial Sectorial. The Odds Ratio was calculated for each variable, with confidence intervals for a trustworthiness index of 95% and a value p ‹ 0.005. A multivaried analysis was carried out selecting those variables that individually showed a statistically significant result. The percentage attributable risk was calculated. The most excellent results were: there is a statistically significant relation between the risk variables overcrowding, alcoholism, ex-prisoner and undernourishment with the presence of tuberculosis disease in Ciego de Avila province, the models of multiple linear regression used to make a multivaried analysis show an effect behavior of component among them and the dependent variable. This allows to direct the efforts toward the improvement of these conditions.REFERENCES
