ABSTRACT
Aortopulmonary Window and subaortic stenosis is a very unusual association and less than 10 cases have been reported. A 16-month-old girl (weight, 7.5 kg) was evaluated with symptoms of congestive heart failure and diagnosis of ventricular septal defect. Echocardiographic evaluation revealed a dilation of the left atrium and ventricle, with good ventricular function, very small perimembranous ventricular septal defects, and subaortic stenosis because of fibrous ridge. Large Aortopulmonary Window, 10-mm, type III, was evidenced with features of severe pulmonary hypertension. Transaortic surgical closure with polytetrafluoroe-thylene patch was done. A subaortic ridge was thin and closer to the aortic valve. Her postoperative course was uneventful without pulmonary hypertension crisis. After 18 months of follow up her clinical condition is excellent. In view of the rarity of this association it was considered worthy of report.REFERENCES
