ABSTRACT
Lichen planus pigmentosus inversus is an uncommon variant of lichen planus, which is characterized by the insidious onset of dark brown macules with or without slight pruritus, mainly in flexural folds. The cause of the dermatoses remains unknown, however immunologic mechanisms proposed mediate its development. Generally the therapeutic response to conventional drugs is poor.
