ABSTRACT
An experimental study was carried out at the National Institute for Occupational Health (INSAT) of Cuba. The scope of the research included all the workers from the dental clinics of Arroyo Naranjo municipality. A sample of 30 workers with more than one year of occupational exposure of mercury vapors was chosen. The pre-post model was used; the first period was evaluated transversely and the second period was evaluated twelve weeks later. In both periods concentrations of mercury in urine and mercury in urine per g creatinine were evaluated. The neuropsychological studies were repre-sented by the PNF standardized questionnaire in order to evaluate the subjects’ self-perception about their health, and the software of Mem-ory Studies was used for the cognitive function, specifically the Free Memory Model. Mercurius Solubilis 30 CH was administered every day, in addition to the constitutional medication selected for each person that was administered during twelve weeks. After this practice these persons were reevaluated and the following results were ob-tained: there was predominance of females with an average age of 46,3 and 23,8 of exposure; the values of mercury in urine and mercury in urine per g creatinine revealed normal results in both stages, the self-perception of the health status explored through the standardized questionnaire PNF showed improvement in relation to the quantity of symptoms per person, the neurological symptoms, asthenia, memory and concentration evidenced a statistically significant enhancement.REFERENCES
