ABSTRACT
Introduction: Bouveret syndrome is the biliodigestive fistula that characterizes by abnormal communication between duodenal mucose and gallbladder mucose. It’s a rare form of biliary ileus, which occurs when a stone goes though the gallbladder wall to a hollow viscera. The clinic presentation is not precise, which makes more difficult the preoperative diagnosis. Three of the more useful exams for diagnosis are ultrasound, CT scan and endoscopy.
Objective: The main objective of this paper was to inform the case of a patient with a variety of biliointestinal fistula, with the laparoscopic treatment approach using basic instruments and showing excellent results.
Case report: 65 years old female patient with a history of breast cancer programmed for laparoscopic cholecystectomy with findings of cholecystoduodenal fistula. The post operatory period occurred with no incidents and the patient was discharged five days after surgery.
Conclusion: The cholecystoduodenal fistula can be well treated with laparoscopy and basic instrumentation.
