Coartación de la aorta en la paciente obstétrica. Reporte de un caso y revisión de literatura

ABSTRACT
Coarctation of the aorta accounts for 6 to 8% of congenital heart disease. The 80% of diagnoses are in childhood. In pregnant patients with this condition are more often histories of surgical repair. Symptoms are rare and most relevant clinical finding is hypertension. The diagnosis is made by echocardiography, computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging. Below present the case of patient of the Hospital of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Institute Maternal Infantile del Estado de México, multi gestation, operated after late abortion curettage with uncontrolled hypertension in eight years of asymptomatic evolution, referred to cardiology for multifocal systolic murmur. Corroborating diagnosis by echocardiography and magnetic resonance imaging. No contingencies or obstetric complications, was discharged for surgical management in tertiary hospital.
