ABSTRACT
Evidence-based nursing is a tool that allows nurses to use the best published evidence after a systematic research and conjugate it with expertise to answer questions derived from daily practice and provide optimal care. It is an ongoing learning process, so thus, nurses must maintain consistency, dedication, evaluation and willingness to perform their tasks with excellence to ensure that evidence-based nursing is a north of instead an end. The purpose of this paper is to provide nurses with an approach to the use of evidence-based nursing as a tool to justify the nursing care plan explaining each basic step.
