ABSTRACT
The legal and familiar implications, as well as the short age of the victims involved in cases of sexually abused children, need of a careful evaluation of each and every of the details inherent at the juridical procedure, since the age of assent determines the limit and the legal circumstances that will establish the punishment for the aggressor. In absence of appropiate birth certificates, Justice will be able to need of experts that they make possible the age estimation of the victim, with technologies and appropriate methodologies, even in deferred or retrospective analyses. A case of chronological age estimation in a girl with absence of appropiate birth certification, to establish retrospectively her age at the moment of the abuse is presented. Contextual, diagnostic and preventive elements of such circumstances are discussed.
