ABSTRACT
Introduction: The presence of a cholecysto-duodeno-colic fistula with involvement of the biliary ducts is a very rare presentation and in the last three decades it was only reported in 1975 and 1989.
Clinical case: In both cases like in the case we report, the beginning of the symptoms were severe diarrhea with no response to a antimicrobial treatment, nevertheless the surgical treatment reach the solution for this cases, the postoperative hospital stay tends to be prolonged.
Conclusion: In this case we present the application perioperative nutritional protocol proposed by The Mexican Association of General Surgery (Cancun Group), with the objective of reducing the length of hospital days and minimize the subsequent metabolic response to injury caused by surgical trauma and postoperative complications.
