ABSTRACT
Obesity is a major public health problem in our country. There are a lot of home remedies and «naturist» used by the public in an effort to lose weight. The
Thevetia peruviana better known as friar elbow bone or is one of them. It has diuretic and cardiotoxic effects unknown to the general population. We report the case of a man of 27 years who ingested for several months this plant as a weight loss method and the pair bradyarrhythmias presenting an infectious upper respiratory tract that led to Septic shock.
