Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada disease: A case report

ABSTRACT

Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada syndrome is an autoimmune multisystemic disease, characterized by the association of bilateral ocular inflammatory manifestations (uveitis and retinal detachment) and extraocular lesions such as meningismus and tegumentary or neurologic findings, including cranial nerves. We report the case of a young Hispanic woman with this syndrome, and a literature review on the diagnostic criteria, treatment and prognosis.
