ABSTRACT
Amyotrophic neuralgia in the diabetic patient or Bruns Garland syndrome is not too frequent form of presentation of the diabetic neuropathy. We consider very important the report of a 62 year old female patient with type II Diabetes Mellitus with a 7 year evolution, that presents clinical and neurophysiologic symptoms have an immune- mediated origin. In this case the symptoms are presented in coexistence with rheumatoid arthritis a well defined disease of an immune origin.
