ABSTRACT
Obstetric hemorrhage is the second cause of maternal death worldwide. From 2008 to 2010 in Guadalajara, Hospital Civil Juan I. Menchaca, obstetric hemorrhage was the first cause of maternal death. Activated recombinant factor VII is a hemostatic agent used in acute and excessive bleeding disorders in patients who suffer bleeding disorders and in those who do not. We present the case of a patient with massive obstetric hemorrhage not responding to conventional therapy, treated with rFVIIa in a third level hospital.REFERENCES
