ABSTRACT
Celiac disease is a small
bowel chronic inflammatory
enteropathy, which affects
genetically susceptible people.
The principal trigger is Gluten.
The pathophysiological
mechanism that produces this
disease is mediated by the
immune system. Symptoms
are related to malabsorption
disorders. The treatment
responses to Gluten free Diet,
resulting in a symptomatic,
histologic, and serologic
remission.
