ABSTRACT
Tuberculosis represents a big
problem worldwide and is
caused by the bacteria belonging
to the Mycobacterium family.
Humans are mostly affected
by the airborne, acid resistant
M.Tuberculosis. This pathology
is mostly known as the “great
masquerade” due to misleading
symptoms that are easily
confused with other illnesses.
Annually, Tuberculosis kills
more women of reproductive
age than any other infectious
pathogen, making pregnancy
a big opportunity to diagnose
it.
