ABSTRACT
We performed a retrospective study at the Center for Research in Longevity, Aging and Health with 121 patients diagnosed and treated surgically by genus varum in the period from January 2006 to December 2009 to those who underwent tibial valgus osteotomy. Purpose: To demonstrate the usefulness of the genus varus osteotomy characterize demographic and biomedical variables and show our results. The sample consisted of 84 patients (91 knees) who met the criteria assumed. Results: The most common age group was 70 to 79 years and female sex predominated grades III and IV Alback classification complications were few and obtained 82% of good results.
