ABSTRACT
We report a 7-year-old male patient from Veracruz with a history of bronchial hyperresponsiveness and zoonoses with cats, dogs and birds. He began his condition 10 months previous with fever, without predominance of hours, underarm lymph nodes left and right groin, with subsequent development of lymphadenopathy in the neck. Four months after the beginning of his sickness we requested serology for Toxoplasma, which was positive, and remained untreated for being an immunocompetent patient. However, follow-up visit one month after the first assessment, revealed fatigue of three weeks of evolution and loss of 450 g in weight, with no decrease in the lymph nodes. Biopsy was requested to rule out other diagnostic possibilities. Inguinal lymph node biopsy reported nonspecific follicular hyperplasia.REFERENCES
